This week saw the annual Motor Trader Independent Dealer Awards take place, and the team at Emerald were on tenderhooks.
Nominated for 5 awards, with winners to be announced throughout the week - there was rarely a moment to think as winners were announced thick and fast by Jon Kirwan of Motor Trader.
We were very blessed to have walked away with two awards; Social Media Campaign of the Year and Community Dealer of the Year!
Our Social Media Campaigns throughout Lockdown focused on spreading entertainment and positivity to lift up the nation, pinnacling with a free car giveaway to NHS nurse Sarah Sheldon. Our Social Media Manager Matthew Wood was overjoyed, commenting; "Lockdown was a challenge for all of us, but when you push us back against the wall, the real Emerald began to emerge - caring, considerate and wanting to help anyone who finds us as much as we can! To win the award for Social Media Campaign is a great testament not just to us, but to the continued efforts the NHS and key workers have made in keeping this country afloat this year!"
PJ Quinn was eager to win Community Dealer of the Year, noting "Emerald has always had it's fingers in the community. From Day 1, we have always had community and family at the heart of everything we did and lockdown simply put that idea to the test. Like every test we are faced with, the team raised to the challenge and persevered. I couldn't be prouder!"
It was celebrations all around for the team, who walked away with two awards, as seen in the video below. However, PJ was quick to add "We never rest on our laurels, we may have won but the real work starts Monday!"
